We intentionally built Dawn Custom Cattle Feeders to be medium sized. Twenty years ago, the trend in feedyard construction leaned toward gargantuan yards of 50,000 plus capacity. However, at DCCF, we choose to focus on quality, not quantity. Whenever you house enormous numbers of cattle, there is a risk of letting some slip through your fingers. By restricting the number of cattle we feed, we free our employees to attend to the needs of individual cattle. The result: low loss rate, high levels of recovery, improved gain, and increased profit for our clients. With a total capacity of 18,000, pending completion of our new pens, DCCF provides the right mix of size and attention.
